In this series, I return home after spending half a year abroad. The change of environment gave me a renewed appetite for life and these works carry that process.
Presence has always shaped the way I want to experience the world around me. It reminds me of a moment almost ten years ago, when I first listened to Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel on vinyl. Their voices were so powerful and pure that I felt as though they were right there with me, in my living room.
That feeling has stayed with me ever since. It is at the very heart of my relationship with art. How I create, how I experience it, and how I believe it should make us feel. I hope you’ll get to experience these pieces as if they’re not only hanging on a wall but sharing the room with you.
